General Principles

What kind of data is stored and processed when shopping with us and / or creating an account?

When shopping with us, you will be asked to provide us with certain personal data, such as your e-mail address, name and home address. On the respective pages you will be able to recognise which information is obligatory and which is voluntary. We need this data to fullfil your purchase and deliver your chosen goods to you. If you create an account, you can log back in to our website to review all purcheses made and to auto-populate order forms with your personal data for a quicker checkout process. If you choose NOT to create an account, your data will be will be deleted after the tax and commercial law retention period has expired. If you chose to create an account, your data will be deleted from our customer database if requested or after 81 months from your last purchase.  We never store ANY of your payment details, when completing the checkout process you enter this data on Worldpay's Integrated Payment Gateway which means we never see any of your credit / debit card details.


Is my personal information transferred to third-parties?

We will never share your personal data with any third parties other than those required to process your order or to activate any extended warranty periods available from certain manufacturers as set out below. 

a) For payment processing, the information you enter during the checkout process is handled by either Worldpay or Paypal depending on your chosen selection.

b) For Delivery of your purchsed item we often need to provide your Name, Delivery Address and Email or Phone Number to our appointed carrier (such as UPS, UKMail, ParcelForce, Royal Mail etc).  By making any purchase from us you agree to this data being transfered in order to have your purchased item delivered to you.

c) If purchasing a "New Machine" from us which carries a Warranty period over and above 12 months, we must register this purchase with the manufacturer to activate it's Extended Manufacturer Warranty giving you access to nationwide repairs during this extended period rather than returning the unit to us.  By purchasing a "New Machine" which carries a warranty period over and above 12 months you agree to us trnasfering your Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address and details of the machine you have purchased to the Manufacturer.


How is my personal Data protected against misuse?

We protect our website and our system from unauthorised access through the latest technical and organisational measures available to protect your data from getting manipulated, destroyed or accessed by any unauthorised person. Whenever any personal Data is transferred, we use sophisticated encryption technologies to ensure the strictly confidential transfer of personal data/information such as terms of registration and guarantee.

In addition to that, your personal data is protected by password, so it is only accessible to you. Our servers employ various security and authorisation technologies in order to prevent unauthorised access. When sharing your computer with others, please keep your password and other relevant information strictly confidential and always close your browser window after you are finished communicating with to avoid any unauthorised access to your personal data.
